WELCOME TO LIVING BREAD BAKE SHOP

Hi! I’m Nicole, the owner and creator of Living Bread.

I started Living Bread after about a year of making and testing sourdough bread recipes for my friends and family. I love to cook and bake and originally just did this for fun. They all loved it! And many encouraged me to start selling it.

I was totally unsure if I could really make a living baking bread… I am a single mom with a young son who is autistic and requires a lot of extra time and support. It has prevented me from having a stable, typical job over the last few years, but we’ve always made it work. I love my son more than anything and want to be available for him, while also being able to provide for him!

I read the Bible every single day, and when I first started venturing into the idea of opening a home bakery, I came across the verse John 6:35.

“Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”

And I truly feel that seeing this verse in that moment was God’s blessing over this business. I started collecting everything I would need right after this and opened my website for orders.

To my surprise, I received multiple orders right away! I have always been a creative person and an entrepreneur at heart. Realizing that my community was interested in what I was doing made me want to make this happen even more!

The last, and most important part of the future of Living Bread, is my desire to help others. It has been my goal and dream for many years now to be able to give to others in some way. I feel God has gifted me with a very giving heart and somehow I always come across people who need it! I am proud to announce that we have added “The Giving Loaf” to our weekly menu, an option for you to buy one, give one to someone in need!

Luke 3:11 says “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”
